Note to self: go back to the hotel tonight & book online for tomorrow!
Kept walking & taking in the sights & apparently stopped a nasty situation when I, inadvertently, went to take a photo & put myself between 2 Asian tourists & 3 plumpish girls. I was told, via pointing, to move on, didn’t understand what she wanted until she told me to ‘f’ off & Mandy told me what was about to happen.
Stopped for a cuppa at a gorgeous restaurant then made our way through Salamanca, very ritzy area, beautiful architecture then walked back to the hotel via the Plaza Mayor, which was as crowded as it was expensive. Made it to the roof bar for some very late lunch.
Note to self 2: don’t wear-in new Blunnies on an 11km stroll through Madrid!
